后知后觉。
之前曾经在Mosaic Festival 看到她的名字，看介绍还蛮想去的，后来因为没有伴也就不了了之。现在，是后悔莫及的懊恼。后来也曾经在电视上听到“Be Be Your Love”觉得非常喜欢，却从来不知道就是她。
现在，终于水落石出。
如果你喜欢Jason Mraz ，你一定也会喜欢Rachael Yamagata。日本美国混血，曾经是走Funk路线乐团的成员，后来决定走自己的路，独自出发。她曾经在Jason Mraz 那首“Did You Get My Message”合唱，果然是好音乐同一国。
如果你听过“Be Be Your Love”，应该会马上被吸引，副歌旋律一直盘旋在脑海中，钢琴技艺颇为出色的她，琴键中充满音乐的能量。
但这张在2004年完成的专辑，不可能就只有那么一首吸引人。紧接的“Letter Read”很喜欢歌词和音乐那种节奏和质问的语气近乎相同的感觉，而歌词也让我想起早期的Alanis Morissette的那种坚决。
其他歌曲可听度都颇高，无论是Band Sound 类还是钢琴为主轴的，她的创作听了都很有Feel，不至于慵懒到想睡，就是好听舒服却又让你能耐起精神从头听到尾的好音乐。
很喜欢“Quiet”曲末留下的空白沉默，最后的“Ode To”很简单一把吉他听她低声吟唱，夜晚变得温暖了一些。
除了KT以外，她是另一个比较没有那么流行的选择，但耐听度绝对更高。
她的新专辑10月即将发行，到时我不会允许自己错过。

served on a Sunday evening, as the album gradually <br />
leans toward a heavier tone in the second half.<br />

fans of THE O.C will love Reason Why over the others, <br />
because that is the show that introduced Rachel to <br />
the world. <br />

totally irrelevant (given that they have worked <br />

but i guess rachel is more emo, compared to Jason's <br />
generally happy-tone songs.
