如果喜欢爵士乐的你，觉得Amy Winehouse的唱法口味太重，那你一定会爱上Adele。这位英国女生今年只有20岁，可以说是西洋版的Joanna。
这是Adele的首张专辑，也是一张全创作专辑。声音好不在话下。创作功力更是不可忽视。“Best for Last”的音乐结构就足以证明她的音乐相当纯熟，一点都不像是20岁的人会写出来的歌。节奏与情绪的转变都拿捏得恰到好处。很喜欢歌曲从主歌转到副歌的部分，完全不在预料之内，听起来却一点都不别扭。
专辑里好几首歌的编曲都只用一种乐器，可是听起来一点都不单调。重点就在她那把富有灵魂的声音。所以，能唱歌的人，是不需要用华丽的编曲包装自己的音乐的。
我只能说，她不论快歌慢歌都驾驭得很好，绝对是天生的歌手。
专辑12首歌的排法也别有用心。正当你以为你快被抒情歌催眠到睡著时，中版节奏的歌曲又会把你丢入另一个世界。这样来回交替，不知不觉已经重听正张专辑好几遍了。
专辑的封面也很有质感。不听，买来摆也会觉得很过瘾。

Adele do sounds like an Amy Winehouse wanabe on first <br />
listen, but it doesnt take much to realise they're <br />
totally different.<br />

despite the big voice of a talent that she has, i <br />
believe the album sags in the second half due to the <br />
less-than-impressive material.<br />

production wise, i'm not sure if it's just me, but <br />
the recording sounds uneven. Chasing Pavements sounds <br />
very piercing and unevenly loud at points on my <br />
discman.<br />

however, Adele will be one of the newcomers to watch <br />
in 2009, more so after her recent grammy noms. do <br />
youtube her live vids to be impressed, esp the recent <br />
unplugged ones.
